POSITION:

• Senior QA Inspector

LOCATION:

• Al Foah Al Ain, UAE

PURPOSE:

To perform the required process control measurement starting from receiving to dispatch as per the frequency, to ensure that the produced goods meet the quality requirements.

The role requires conducting & documenting regular process control checks at various places starting from receiving to dispatch and providing details about the process capability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General inspections:

• Conduct testing on raw or finished products, including weight checks, moisture checks, and PH checks in order to ensure all relevant procedural quality requirements are followed.
• Check the packaging parameters like net weight, sealing integrity, date coding, etc, and work over completion reports to ensure adherence to defined quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of processing areas to ensure that the activities comply with standards.
• Ensure the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied in places (premises and equipment), people (personnel and quality assurance), processes (sanitation program and operations), and products (specifications, stability, samples, records, recall reporting and sterile products) to ensure an effective overall approach to product quality control and risk management.
• Check and document infestation at a level of the dates to ensure it’s within the acceptable range for human consumption.
• Carry out and document process checks at dispatch (coding, quality, Hygiene), sorting (GMPs), and machines (operation, Hygiene).

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Follow up on approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures.

Statement and Reports

• Prepare relevant departmental statements and reports (quality deviation) timely and accurate to meet Al Foah and department requirements, policies, and standards.

Framework, Boundaries & Decision-Making Authority

• The Quality Inspector reports to the Site Quality Manager and confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.
• The jobholder is expected to assist in executing regular process control checks, quality audits, and reports in line with the Al Foah Quality Systems and any Regulatory requirements locally or internationally.
• Key decisions having a significant impact on the Quality functions are referred to the Quality & HSE Manager for approval before implementation.
• The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by Al Foah’s management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic knowledge of food manufacturing & GMP(Good Manufacturing Practice).
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar environment, preferably in food production.
• Should be able to communicate in Arabic, preferably in English.
