POSITION:

  • Bakery Executive 

 

LOCATION:

  • Grand Mills Abu Dhabi, UAE

 

PURPOSE:

To develop the commercial and technical prowess of Grand Mills Flour business., directly or indirectly through a distribution organization and being the main company contact, with a main focus on sales and profit growth by creating and expanding customer relationship.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commercial Account & Sales Management of customers within UAE.  
  • Assist & support the R&D team in implementing NPD and Management of Current Portfolio.
  • Assist & support the commercial team in visiting customers, providing technical advice, on-site baking demonstrations and feedback when required.
  • Work as technical sales in Industrial Bakeries, AMF Lines Bakeries, Restaurants, Tandoors, Artisanal Bakeries for Grand Mills Flour.
  • Achievement of sales value and volume (MT) as per assigned monthly targets.
  • Solve on site flour or finished product quality problems thru investigation, customer engagement, co-ordination with R&D and demonstration.
  • Manage existing accounts professionally by continually developing the accounts through profitable business propositions.
  • Analyze competition product performance in detail through lab testing, finished product analyses and recommend best action steps to improve Grand Mills portfolio.
  • Constantly be abreast of the latest market trends in flour, bakery, baking, additives in the UAE / GCC market.
  • Financial Management: Maintain company profitability, Push to sell higher margin skus’ s and Maintain customer pricing.
  • Collection of customer receivables as per Emerging Overdue in conjunction with allocated customer payment terms and monthly SOA issued.
  • Ensure budgeted DSO is met and monthly financial reconciliation is done to ensure zero shortage of accounts.
  • Ensure timely supply of goods and services to customers.
  • Co-ordinate with all supporting functions to ensure customer orders and delivery is on time every time.
  • Customer timely visit as per Journey Plan to ensure all customers and branches are visited once a month (min) or as per business need and frequency required.
  • Maintain relationship with customers and build rapport to ensure smooth flow of business.

 

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  1. Knowledge of flour & bakery products and the science of baking.
  2. Ability to bake and test flour-based products. (Breads, Artisanal Products, Pastry Products, Indian Breads).
  3. Understanding & Usage of flour lab testing equipment.
  4. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  5. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English; bilingual proficiency is an added advantage.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Formal Baking qualification or Bachelor of Science, preferably in Food Technology or any related Food Science.
  2. Minimum 4 years’ experience in Bakery or Food Manufacturing Unit.
  3. Scientific knowledge of flour and bread.
